Effortless grace, technical brilliance, virtuous rhythmic movements and a unique and dynamic dance style are the integral parts of every performance that distinguishes Anil Panchal. His strong training has enabled him to master the nuances of the classical martial art form of chhau. The young talent aspires to evolve the cultural form with a contemporary yet traditional vocabulary. The excellence of style and powerful stage personality that the artist showcases with such great panache has helped him enroll several major productions to his credit. He has played several eminent characters in famous productions making him top- favourite with the media.

Anil has traveled wide across the world taking his artice to critical acclaim.

Recognizing the importance of deep roots as well as the need of progression and evolution in the dance style, Anil embraces long standing traditions as well as new ideas. As a choreographer, he aims to explore new forms, use the past to create a language of the future and spellbound the audience through a unique treatment of traditional aspects wrapped by modernity.

He uses innovation to light up the dark unknown world of tomorrow. And for the purpose his fluency over several dance forms allows him to bring out a unique and modern lexis of its own. He has conducted Chhau workshops at Sadhya, Dhwani and Damini House of culture of Norway. Recently he was invited to choreograph for DanceIntense II -2008, a project undertaken by Sampad (Birmingham based performing Arts unit) and Ananda Shankar Centre for Performing Arts, where he imparted his skill to trainees selected from India, USA, UK & Canada.

As the Artistic Director of Ishan- Amalgamation of Arts, he has set himself as an ideal example of traditionalism entwined with innovation.
