On the unique selection of the name ‘Ishan’, the Artistic Director, Anil explains " Ishan means east. Growing on the roots of east, we aspire to evolve a few new branches where modernity is entwined with traditionalism. Moreover Ishan is another name for Shiva, the lord of dance. As devotees of the lord, we propagate the art of dancing to gratify our souls. The 5 principles followed by him are echoed in the name of ISHAN and evident in its productions.
